Cindy Schneider, who recently popped up in the comment section here, weighing in on Iran’s terrible record of hanging minors, has a new post with a collection of photos of Iran before, during, and after the revolution. It is a terrible shame what has befallen the people of Iran at the hands of the revolutionaries and clerics.
I have been trying over and over again to show the world that Iran once was a modern country. I am so sick and tired of all those who use the excuse that Iran is living in the 14th century. They may be living in that era now but they were forced. Still don’t believe it? Take a look at these photographs.
Scroll past her “about” section to get to the “View on Iran” post. As is often the case, the pictures really do tell quite a story.

Cindy has no idea what she’s talking about. Life for Iranians has significantly improved SINCE the revolution, especially literacy rates for women.
Just because literacy rates improved does not mean that life or the standard of living for women has improved. Would you call the sevenfold increase in prostitution amongst teen girls since the overthrow of the Shah an improvement in the lives of women?
