Middle East: Al-Qaeda no. 2 ‘blames Obama and Egypt for Gaza’
A new audio message purported to be from Al-Qaeda’s second-in-command Ayman al-Zawahiri has attacked Egypt and US president-elect Barack Obama, blaming both for Israel’s deadly assault on the Gaza Strip. The unauthenticated message released late on Tuesday urges the Bedouin Arab population in southern Israel and Muslims worldwide to wage holy war or jihad against Israel and ‘Zionist Crusaders’.
“The airstrikes are a gift from Obama before he takes office, and (Egyptian president) Hosni Mubarak, that traitor, is the main partner in your siege and killing,” says al-Zawahiri.
“This is Obama whom the American lies machine tried to portray as a saviour who would transform US policy. Instead he is killing your brothers in Gaza without mercy.”
I wonder how long it will take the nutroots to start calling Bambi a warmonger.
