I’d call Janeane an ignorant bitch, but her intellectual myopia would process the remark as misogyny rather than my personal antipathy towards her. Of course, if my utter disdain of her person didn’t slip by unnoticed, then Psychoneurologist J would be sure to diagnose me with some sort of Stockholm Syndrome… And the ever vacuous sycophant, Olby, would cheer her on with pom-poms in hand.
Apparently someone needs to inform our enlightened friends that even those too ignorant to understand their taxes (Secretary Geithner, perhaps) can oppose the policies of any politician without being a racist. They can also hate “the black guy in the White House” without hating him for being black. Perhaps that’s just too subtle for our “bright” pals.

The rhetoric I am hearing amongst the conservative talking heads today is the same rhetoric I heard during the Clinton years and it was echoed by the tea-baggers. I get the feeling that the tea-baggers would oppose any person with a (D) behind their name regardless of race or even their stance on tax policy. It would merely be another issue if it was not taxes.
That being said, I do agree with the tea-baggers on the tax issue. The direct taxation of the population has placed an unnecessary burden on our shoulders. There are other ways to raise revenue for the government without taxing our income.
Actually at the Nashville rally there were plenty of boos from the tea party crowd from Bush as well as Obama (one sign I read put pictures of them with the phrase “Dumb and Dumber” on it. So it’s not just everyone with a (D) that’s being targeted
